today's episode was so stupid

what made me rage the most was that after a five minute meeting, senior
officers are ready to kill zero for supposedly controlling their minds
and not one of them thought "wait... what?".

especially with the:

they were angry about the japs that zero killed but didn't seem to care about the 35 million japs that suzaku killed?

why is it so bad that Zero is a Prince? Isn't that actually so great?

you're right, Brittania will gladly give up one of its greatest
resources for a rebel leader that they had pretty much already been crushed

In defense of the OoTBK, they did immediatly offer up counter arguements for why Lelouche did what he did. Only after Ougi sided with the Brits and they were shown all the allegedly geassed people did the paranioa start to set in. No doubt already suspicious events seemed to be shed in a whole new light that did not cast Zero very brightly. After all, if he killed or arranged for all those people to act or be killed who's to say what he would've done to them? Or their cause?

Having played the devil's advocate I can now say that I am in agreement with you. The Black Knights are morons for A.) Not getting the whole story. B.) Getting the half they did get from their enemies! C.) Thinking for a moment the Brits will give back Japan. And D.) Staging a coup'e without a plan for their future.

Even if they realized Zero was using them (which, in honesty, he was.)now theat they were on to him they could have gained control over him. Shneizel neglected to mention the Geass one hit wonder weakness.

Oh, and Nina? You are NOT Oppenheimer, so don't try to get the show to make you look like one. The guys who built the American atom bombs did not happily announce they could destroy a city in a second after they tested Trinity, unlike what you did after your test run.

Furthermore they were working under the extreme climate of the Second World War, where the world was being torn apart by the Axis and the Allies counter attacks. Building huge weapons was paramount not only to the safety of their nation but their way of life. For them it wa a race against time to build the weapon before the Nazis or the Japanese did (which they never got around to doing, thankfully, for reasons that are kinda pathetic). Nina, you were working on in in high school and a year after the Black Rebellion. No stress for you, just lots of free time to devote to weapons of mass destruction.
